Here, we promise peace of mind and better sleep. The goal is for you, the firm owner, to understand your cash flow. Through this process we aim to answer all your nagging questions, like: will I make payroll, can pay myself and how much, or will I have enough cash on hand to pay rent, insurance and merchant fees. This exercise is designed for you to understand your cash position in both the short and long term. Having this knowledge and understanding will help you make better business decisions because you know if you have the cash on hand to do what you desire. As they say, cash is king. Having your cash flow mapped out and organized will let you know when you need to worry or not. And as you know, all your most significant expenses must be paid in cash. The process works as follows: First, we will input your revenue and costs in a calendar. Additionally, we will include the firm's account balances to represent the firm's actual cash position. Next, we will use your averages to project both costs and revenue. By doing this, we will know if you have anything to worry about now or a year from now, should everything stay the same. As your averages change, or any large revenue or costs are expected, we will adjust your calendar to reflect your current and project cash flow position. This is another good area to run hypotheticals, some typical scenarios run are: Are you anticipating a big deferred payment now or down the road? Are you about to lose a big client that usually pays well? Is this a three-payroll month? As each scenario arises we will insert it into your calendar and see how each will affect your cash on hand and account balances at any particular time. By operating in this capacity, you will know well beforehand if something will be a problem long before it ever happens.
